You can dismiss them for lack of ductility and impact toughness directly as they are many times inferior to the tool steels, Bos heat treated or not, that latter line is so overhyped it has reached almost mythical proportions as if a stainless steel once blessed with the Bos touch is no longer bound by the limitations of stainless alloys. I have used, and broken ATS-34 heat treated by Bos, and many other kinds of stainless blades, including S30V which again shows a vastly inferior ductility and impact toughness compared to common sword steels like L6.
