• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Being known around work as the resident knife nut I often have co-workers ask me to sharpen their knives.I rarely accept anything for this service as it`s something I enjoy doing and it gives me an opportunity to preach the gospel of the blade. My goal is to have everyone in my building carrying a knife before I retire!

Anyway, last week,we got a new guy in our department. As is my custom the first thing I do is check for the telltale glint of a pocket clip or the bulge of a sheath under a t-shirt.Sure enough,he was carrying a Buck 110.I introduced myself and after a minute of small talk I asked about his knife. He hands me his 110 and I hand him my Military. His Buck is badly in need of sharpening so I offer to fix it up for him and he accepts.

A couple days later he was showing me one of the new gold colored Dollar coins(he`s a coin collecter)brand new,and un-circulated in a protective sleeve. As I started to hand it back to him he says,"It`s yours".I said,"Huh"? and he said it was a gift for sharpening his knife!Wow!!

I do`nt know if theres a moral to this story but I believe it shows that knife people are a cut above the rest.
