A Pretty Lady and an Izula...

Good review - I'm not used to people calling the company "E.S.S.E." but pronounced "Essie" - but she really did a good tabletop technical review.

This is my wife doing her first knife review

I got the impression that she quite likes using knives, I especially like the bit where she is saying you can "beat the crap out of it".

You have a wife that is nice to look at and like knives - you're a lucky guy!

Your wife did a good job at that review jgon. She seems sincere, genuine and informative. Hope to see more in the future.

Good review. I vote turtle neck for the next one so we can noire the knife with put having to rewatchit. Lol

I gave up doing reviews after I saw this one :) the competition is just too good!
You have to have b#lls to do a vid like that :D very well done

I quite liked the review.

She really did seem to be into the knife, which is a rare quality in the

fairer sex. :thumbup::thumbup:

Meh. Nice rack, but she needs to work on her delivery. She sounds like a friggin' cheer leader. meh.....

I would rather listen to a cheerleader than why do you need another knife??? Instead i would hope the cheerleader would say buy 2 Junglases :)

Dude, seriously, try a little tact next time. While I haven't even looked at the video yet, comments like that, especially on a tight-knit sub-forum like this, tend to show up one's level of class, or lack thereof.

Whatever. I quit counting at her 40th "um". If you're going to do a review speak clearly, concisely, and don't temporize. Temporizing demonstrates a lack of intelligence. Not something one wishes to display to the world at large.

Yes, and comments such as yours demonstrate not only a lack of intelligence, but a lack in quality of character. In short, didn't your mother raise you better?

Well unfortunately the vast majority of people have no public speaking or formal presentation skills. If you've ever paid attention, most people, especially in North America tend to say "um" and "ah" etc in everyday informal speech.
These are called "phonemes" and are used as filler in informal/unscripted speech to help give the speaker a little extra time to put their thoughts into words. I believe the OP did mention this was his wife's first review, and I wouldn't doubt it was her first one on video.
My point was that if you're going to offer criticism make it constructive and not insulting. Didn't your mom teach you that if you can't say something nice to just say nothing at all?
The OP is obviously proud of his beautiful wife and the fact that she also likes knives and other gadgets, and wanted to share with like-minded fellow forumites. Jeez, talk about raining on someone's parade!
The point is, play nice or don't play at all.

Peace.

A good review overall, but I'd prefer if she held the knife up to a ruler or provided some other knives for a size comparison.

I've just looked at the review and for a first attempt I think she did pretty good. She sounded knowledgeable about the knife and related items. I agree that she did say "um" quite often so my only comment on that would be for her to continue to practice in front of the camera and watch the tape afterwards. Be cognisant of the ums, ahs, etc.
She'll find that once she does a few more videos and reviews them she'll get more comfortable and confident and gradually be able to minimize her use of phenomes.

BTW she is a real cutie!
