Hi guys

First, let me say that i think the SIFU is an awesome knife, and several buddies of mine have been repetetively enquiring as to the price, i think they might want mine

The only thing is that.... well, the blade is chipping. Not through any abuse of mine though. It's chipping from closings, about 1/2 an inch from the tip, on the last steel pin that holds the handle together.

Is this a normal problem, or am i somehow causing it?

The only way you could be causing the problem you described would be if you were slamming the knife shut with great force witch I don’t think one could do without a hammer. Sounds like the lazier hiccuped and cut to deep in the back of the blade letting the blade rotate to far in the handle. If you cant fix it to your satisfaction by sharpening the blade send it back and we will make it right.
