This is a proposal for you all at spyderco. I propose that you change every clip on every knife to a low riding wire clip. ;) Seriously, this clip is the best thing since sliced bread, in fact, it's 10 times better than bread.

It's all a matter of preference. I can't stand low ride clips. And I've never been a fan of Spyderco's wire clip... but hey that's just me. It certainly wouldn't keep me from buying a knife, but I'd have to put it in my pocket and try it out first.

When it comes to a choice of being able to get the knife out of my pocket easily, or hiding the fact that I'm carrying a knife, I'll chose the former every single time. I don't care who knows I'm carrying a knife because I'm not doing anything wrong.

I agree with SecSpyral. Carbon Fiber Military with a low rider wire clip would be nice from factory.

Only if Spyderco starts mounting them on the pivot bolt. Otherwise they're at the wrong end of the knife, add cost, and reduce functionality by "retasking" the lanyard hole.

I love the wire clip but ultimately I would like to see Spyderco start doing a design that can take a wire or a solid clip on any of it's models since the preference seems to be split 50/50.

There's some awesome designs out there that have a solid clip that I will wear much less than a wire clip model.

There's not a single spyderco model that I wouldnt want a wire clip with....but thats just me

I like a wire clip for front pocket carry but prefer a normal clip for IWB carry. It's tough to get a grip on my Caly 3 when I'm carrying IWB. Endura is good IWB.

They slightly redesigned their standard clips this year, as a heads up. Looks promising!

As much as I love low riding wire clip, I wouldn't want it on my Kopas, Persians, Vieles, Kris and few others. I miss it on my Native4, but I love it even without it.

I agree with SecSpyral, if all knives had the option for a lowrider wire clip I'd take them all that way. The tip down mounting thing could be a problem, but I'm sure there are ways around that.

That ^^^ and bring the whale saw back for public sale, I would so buy that. One of the coolset thing I've seen spyderco come out with.

I don't like the wire clip that much
I prefer tip down carry, and it doesn't seem as secure as the normal clip.

+1 on low riding clips. I find using wire clips just as easy to use as tradtional clips, IWB or RFP. I would certainly carry in more situations with a low riding clip. If the "wire" is the issue for some, I believe there is someone out there who custom makes a style that is shaped to ride low like the wire clip, but looks like the traditional clip.

I like low riding clips sometimes, not so much in others (depends on how it presses against my hand). But I LOVE the wire clip.

I like the low-ride wire clips a lot.

I wish the Native IV and the Stretch II had low-ride wire clips!!! :(
