A question about ethicality

Hi all,

I hope this is the right forum, first of all...

I recently sold a knife to a fellow forumite - a nice guy and a great person to deal with. He didn't like the knife, so I offered to take it back. The thing is, he hasn't replied to my emails in a few days, and I've been wanting to put up a new sales post. Since I'm not a dealer, is it still ethical for me to continue selling things if I have an unresolved transaction still in progress? At this point, I need the money, both to pay bills and to send a refund if he gets back to me (I used the money I had allocated to refund him to pay some other bills... life sucks). At the same time, I'm feeling a bit uneasy about continuing to sell things if I have someone who's still unsatisfied with their purchase from me. Though necessity may force me to sell things anyway...

Any advice?

Thanks!

It's hard to see any possible problem with that. You're going to refund his money if that's what he decides he wants -- it's not like you're an indicted criminal awaiting trial. Your best course seems to be to make sure you'll have the cash on hand and be able to make the refund without delay.
