A question about the profile of Ray laconico handles

Since I have effectively been ignored twice before, I thought I'd start a new thread in the hope I might get an answer to my previous questions.

On a number of recent threads, I've seen pics of Rays' knives that I have liked the look of the blade profile

After looking at the handles, I've asked does anyone have pics that show whether or not the handles are oval, or do they come as the pics suggest with flat sides of the handle.

Since I've yet to receive a response, I'll ask again

Does anyone have pics of a Ray Laconico blade that shows the style of handle (ie Oval or Flat sides) that he typically supplies

To be honest, I wouldn't have thought that this was such a unreasonable question

Regards
Mick

i've got one of Ray's Kepharts right here, but the camera is not charged up at the moment. this is the only one of his knives that i've had the chance to handle first hand.

the sides are fairly flat, but not entirely flat with just rounded corners.

so i'd have to say that this one is ovalized with flattened sides. but no completely flat spot on the sides... the only true flats on the handle are on the top, bottom and butt end. i hope i'm making sense with that description.

the grip is comfortable, and while i haven't had a chance to use it for anything, i'm not expecting there to be any hot spots.

it's easy to orient in my hand and know which direction the blade is facing, so it should be very controllable, not like a stock Ka-Bar with a round hnadle, and not like some i've seen with flat slabs that only have the corners barely rounded off... like my Henkiels kitchen knives.

Mick, hola

I believe he has sufficient talent to accommodate whatever you ask for.

Ray makes a top notch knife. One of the best.

Here are a couple I just took pictures of. The answer to your question is there is no typical way I do my handles. I don't do all my knives the same. Some are really round and others are completely flat. It all depends on the knife, my mood, customer's request, etc. Since I make custom knives, I can make it any way my customer wants and I'm willing to do.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but does Ray have a site? I got zilch thru Google, and am flipped to village photos thru his moniker.

Thanks to all who have responded

It's good to know the handle can be made as ordered.

Kind regards
Mick
