I'm curious what this shield is or what is it called? I find it very ugly by the way, but I've never come across a name for it.
Sorry for the bad pic.

I've seen it on many different patterns such as the Sodbuster Jr., Sway back jacks, etc. It's like an upside down mushroom.

Here is what I found on a site that is not Living Timber :) : jigged Burnt Salmon Bone with a Tomahawk Nickel Silver Script Inlay shield. So it is a tomahawk. To me it is more o a saucer (not necessarily flying)

It's weird how it's upside down in one picture, the writing seems to be upside down on one shield and the other way on the other.

It is. All the images I saw were random. Some one way, and others flipped over.

Not Case's finest hour!!
But we all make mistakes, I guess. . . . . . . . . . .

I've seen the Case catalogs so I know that it's a tomahawk but it does look like an ulu.

Better than GEC's standard UN-X-LD and cloud shields. But not particularly good.

Some of the bullet shields that companies have used look like.... something else. GEC's Bradford Single shot looks like something given away at planned parenthood.

Not an eye-catching shield for sure. I thought the first pic looked like an inkwell.

My first thought was mushroom also. I would have never guessed tomahawk. The "arrowhead" shield is a bit odd looking too.

The classic oval shield is still their best, but I have to admit that the Case script shield is really cool.

Thank you for posting this Bob . I've been wondering what this tugboat-looking thing is. Definitely not their most exciting shield.
