Everyone,
I am approaching that age when you get to take a trip to a far-away land, aka somewhere other than your home state, on your parents dime for a trip. I have decided that I would like to have mine be knife making related, and so I was wondering what you guys would do if you had the opportunity today. As far as budget does, it isn't unlimited, but I won't really have trouble making something reasonable in the US happen. A couple of my previous thoughts were the Blade show, but that has the draw back of the fact that I live on the other side of the country, and it is only 3 days, which makes it seem a bit of a waste. Another through was Ashokan, but the same drawback came to mind in that it isn't as long as it could be. Anyone have any ideas on the subject?
Thanks,
Steven
P.S. I received something very special yesterday. Anyone have a guess as to what it is? There is no prize, because I couldn't think of anything cool to give away. Here is a hint: It is a tool that 99% of all knifemakers either have or want.
