A quick question

Forgive me if this has been answered before. With the separation of ESEE and DPX, will the HEST still be manufactured by Rowen or will it be done elsewere?

hi, rowen will not be making the hest, ryp said he is going to design a hest2 and has not said who will be making it. you can find more info in the dpxgear section of the forum.

What I can answer is an extract from Jeff's announcement regarding DPx Gear and ESEE Knives:

"DPX HEST fixed blade production will resume at the discretion of DPX Gear under a different manufacturer and without the association to ESEE®. ESEE will continue to warranty HEST knives made with the ROWEN name on them."

Thank you both! I have been going to pull the trigger on a HEST for some time now. I think I will try to grab a ESEE/Rowan model before they are all gone.
