A quick winter walk

After being laid up with the flu for a week, and testing knives for the challeng every spare minute that comes along, I haven't been out hiking much at all. I got out for a couple of hours last week with Bean bag which was nice. Yesterday Marcelo and I put in 6 straight hours of testing knives, and then we did a little today as well. However, the dogs were getting restless and we haven't hiked in any of the beautiful snow that covered forrest yet. So out we went for a quick walk.

My pup loves following tracks almost as much as I do.

No, hell it was a winter heat wave. The Mercury hit 40F!!!

Plus hiking through 14" of snow up hill and down hill gets the heart rate up. I was ready to shed a few layers of the clothes I did have on..
 
Awesome photos Tony, looks like you guys had a fun little outing. Thanks for sharing! I really hope to get out Sunday after I finish up the current project.
 
Great photos. I just came back from Western New York. That snow looks cool but it's just too damn cold for my liking.
 
I've been stuck on an ambulance all week due to the "Weather Emergency" I'm totall Jealous..

Great pics, Looks like a fun time out if you want to be out in the snow lol.
I had all the snow I want last winter and this year do not any lol.
I went down to the river this morning for Kelly Girl and my daily walk in the woods. It was 50 degrees out lol.
Just a few days before that it was 15 degrees out when we went for our walk. I Like the cooler weather ok, but with out snow lol.

Hey GP.

My email (tsnakes1) should be forwarded to my outlook. However I have a new computer and this one doesn't have Office on it yet. My old laptop is at work and I will check it out tomorrow when I am there. I am still having trouble with my other emails, and I am bad at checking in on the old computer. However, I didn't see anything come through on my Blackberry.

If you don't get a response from me in a day the latest, it is safe to assume I didn't see it.

I will email you tomorrow and maybe you can clue me in on what I missed.

Woody loved the deep snow, he hops in and out like a deer!

I did dress in layers, but I was too lazy to take any off. :)

Skip is great dog, I am sure he will adjust to the snow:thumbup:

Clear your schedule for Wednesday. We'll get Riley and Kuruptd to join us:thumbup:

I was going to go hiking with my oldest today but got up to a thunderstorm followed by more rain. :)

Maybe tomorrow. Supposed to cool back down. From 55 to 27 or so. Hopefully firm up some of the mud.
