A quick winter walk

Which model is the HELLE...the Eggen, maybe? It's beatiful.

Nice pictures - that's a whole different world than West Texas! :)

The Helle looks like an Alden, a model I've been coveting lately. What are your thoughts on it?

The Helle belongs to Marcello. I am not sure, but I think it is the Alden.

I have only used the knife for about 2 minutes, it was comfortable, very sharp, and cut good.

My only issues with Helle Knives is a personal distaste for mirror finishes on the flats.. But that can be taken care of later. I'll ask Marcelo to chime in and confirm the knife's name and give his two cents on it.

So far the Helle Alden has been a pleasure to use. It is very sharp and has very good edge retention. The handle is substantial and very comfortable. I have and have had several Helles. My first was a Futura which has a very tall but not very fat handle which made it awkward for me. My next Helle was a Fjellkniven which cuts and carves like a dream. My only beef with that one was that the guard contours kind of limited maneuverability. The Alden has a guard trasition that is more forgiving and it's very comfortable in all grips. Hope this helps.

Glad you guys got to get out some, you know what they say about all work and no play.
I wish we got enough snow to where I could use snow shoes.:(
Oh well, brown grass is pretty in it's own way....right?:
Thanks for the pics, Tony.
