A rainy sunday, some local history and some traditional blade

Thanks Andi for interesting post and great photos. Appropriate selection of blades for rainy day hike. I love fall, here it's cold but not too much, warm but not hot, and dry.

Great walk Andi, and thank you for taking us along with you!
I hope future Mum is doing well, and yourself my friend.

That Puukko is just Gorgeous! I can see why you love it! That's a very complimenting couple of knives to carry. What is the sheath like for the Puukko?

Edit: - never mind Andi - I just went back and saw it on the table - very cool :cool:

I like those cold gray autumn days, too. We roast alive here on South Texas for much of the year so when the weather changes it is great. It is such a shock to the folks that go out to the available hiking/swimming/camping areas around here that you can often find yourself alone.

It makes me feel like I am alone for a change. I love to make a tiny fire and make a cup of coffee when I am out like that as it just seems to add to the experience.

Great pics!

Robert

Thanks again for the kind replies, fellows :)

When we have winter weather, which will definitelly be here in a couple of weeks, I gonna do another walk in the Big Forest... maybe I can get some nice winter shots. :)

I like to walk when there aren´t that much people on the trail. When walking, then walking and no talking :p

@sturzi: PM inbound ;)

@Duncan: Mum is well, so far - we are really looking forward the day and time after that - I´m almost darn excited!

Really nice, Andi! I agree, the autumn is a great time to go walking in the woods. These other guys have said it: it's quiet and more peaceful, smells stronger (or at least different), and is beautiful in its own right.
Thank you for taking us along with you!
