  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

A random knife question from a complete novice

Our brains are our First safety..... Maybe the character turned that off, going full berserk mode....? Haha

Berserk mode is fun, and all... Just Less so with a revolver.

I've bout given up on looking for the safety on this one!

Ya know I push that button there and the cylinder swings out....maybe thats it!

The Obsidian blade would make a good ritual type blade, but the whole knife could be Obsidian with a wrapped handle. Rewrapping that handle whose material turned to ash while the blade remained, glistening by the flames light, both shows the true strength of the blade and the ease of putting it back into service. Just don't drop the dang thing.

The meteorite is a good one too. There's been a lot of objects turning up recently that are made of meteorite from 1000s of years ago. Not out of the question a knife could have been made and over the millennia turned into a treasure or used for rituals etc.

From what the geologist said, I'd prob drop the gemstone. You can still get the specialness of it from a space rock or volcano rock.

My $0.02.
