There is a very generous choil that allows you to choke up on the blade for detailed work and after that the talon hole. The handle is made of Tan Canvas Micarta and sculpted like a herring bone. It offers a very secure grip while makes the knife very fast in the hand: you can switch from forward grip to a reverse edge out ice pick grip faster than you can think of it.
