  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

A rash decision?

I have both. Use and enjoy both of them equally. I carry a Large Insingo daily along with an SMF. The insigno is my slicer, and the SMF does the majority of tasks that a knife is and not designed to do. I will continue to buy support both companies.

For some reason, I have been bitten by the CRK bug, hard. I now have a large micarta 21, an Umnumzaan, and now a large 21 plain.

The thing is, I want more. I have these 3 Striders sitting here which I hardly ever carry. The polar opposite of that is anything from CRK. Every single day, there is at least one of my CRK's in my pocket.

Since I don't seem to carry the striders, would it be a rash decision to trade them off for even more CRK knives? Think I would be happy, or regret it? It's actually a tough decision to make.
Google Mick Strider and you'll sell them off like wildfire!!!!! I'm ashamed of myself that I could help fund that kind of nonsense. Forget the fact the IMO CRK's are leagues nicer....

If you don't need the cash, keep 'em. If you are over wrought with guilt for having the Striders in storage instead of in your pocket, filter out your favorite(s), keep it and let the others go. I'd opt for peace of mind.

Not necessarily.
I knew the story before I bought, and just don't care.:)
Also, the newer Striders are pretty much in the same league as CRK these days. My Umnumzaan and my DGG SnG are very, VERY similar in F&F.
I carry and use both (though not at the same time).

I bought the (Strider) knives, not the man. They're not CRK, but they're darned fine knives in their category. Why do we have to think that when we put someone or something down, we put ourselves up? :( :grumpy:

keep your favorite strider and trade the rest :D

This might be the best answer for you.

I own several Striders which really don't see any carry time because the Sebbie is just too bloody good. However I can not bring myself to selling the Striders. Guess I must be one of those compulsive collector types :D

Keep atleast one, trust me.

It's a vicious cycle. I've actually started to go the other direction. My Strider's now outnumber the CRK's.

Strider's F&F is vastly improving and their warranty trumps CRK's.

Well I just sold my small snakewood sebbie to get a SNG DGG digicam and have no regrets. Its good to change it up every once in
a while. Keeps things exciting and it gives me a chance to handle all sorts of knives.
