The name "Chemical Axe" makes me think of an axe for chopping...chemicals??? But the special factory finish makes sense. Great job on the hanging!

That was an inspiring hang! To the point where I won myself a Sager and put a helve on it. I'm very happy with it, and the darn thing pretty much hung it self. A very good fit from the get go. Thanks for the initial momentum, bearhunter!

thats a real nice sager you got there bearhunter im currently working on a 1944 chemical. ive been taking pics of my process,but have had trouble getting the photos onto my computer. im looking for a haft for mine,im in oregon and have been finding it difficult to find a good quality hickory haft.who makes that one you got there? i have a few heads that need hung.

its a link handle i picked up at ace. i took me awhile to find a good one... there are several places in town that carry handles, but most of them are crap...
