A real Busse?

Don
Busse Knives can be found in several sources, however, I prefer Factory Direct. Of course there are the Knife Shows. There are a few other possibilities to obtain knives though. The Authorized dealers are a good place to start Papathud(Andre DuMouchel) here on the Forums is Busse dealer, you might try him. Some others places to check are www.bladeart.com and www.2thehilt.com you may want to call or email them as they generally don't advertise everything they have. Then keep your eyes on the For Sale forums here and on Knifeforums they come up once in a while.

As far as pictures go, since you are a Basic Member you can't upload pics directly to the post, however, if you have a website to host your photos you can still post them. Email me off-line if you need assistance with this

Thanks again, Eric! The bladeart site had a CB3 for $125; a "Mean Street" for $380; and a "Steel Heart" for $600...also said:

Coming Soon...

A2 Mean Street

A2 Badger Attack ( SH )

Satin Jack ZT

Mr. Mojo CG

From this I am guessing that Busse also uses, or, at one time used A2 steel to make their blades? And, what does the "ZT" stand for?

Don Adelfson (happily reading the Busse forum at work :D )

Ahhh, ZT. It stands for Zero Tolerance. They were blades made of 3/16" stock due to a production error. All Busses (with a few exceptions) are 1/4". They were sold in limited numbers (400 of the Battle Mistress, Steel Heart and Natural Outlaw and only 100 Satin Jacks of 1/4" stock). No Jacks were ground thin, they were not part of the batch that the mistakes were made on. All the ZTs have the LE finish and zero edge geometry (no grind lines). They also have tan micarta grips. All are great knives and they still have the incredible Busse warranty. Now get rid of all those other knives and place your order for the Argonna Assault! :)

-Jeff

P.S. A2 was used before Busse switched to their own proprietary steel, INFI.

Don,
If you email or Call Larry at Bladeart he might have additional items not on his sight. That hasn't been updated for quite some time.

Jeff has handled your questions, however, for additional info on the ZT's check out this thread. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=136586

Also if you haven't already checked out the picture archive at the top of the this forum you may want to do so. It has many pictures of all things Busse and links to a couple of additional Forum Members sites to check out the many pics. It will give you a better idea about some of the knives of the past, heres a link http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=188478

Hope this keeps you busy at work ;):D:D
