And I bet in all the time ya have spent in Florida that you have yet to kill and eat one of those HUGEMONGOUS Snappin Turtles that live down there!!!!
But ifen yer real nice and ask politely I will tell you how to get one outta it's shell without dullin yer favor-right khukuri.:D

And the only taste you show in khukuris is the fact that you get them from Himilayan Imports. The Best Khukuris In The World, or are you gonna disagree with me on that as well? Hmmmm?:D

Sometimes I wonder what people must think who don't know the real Yvsa & Tsimi. I've had the good fortune to meet and spend time with both and can vouch for them being some of the best men you'll ever run across -- no matter what they might say here!
 
Sounds like Tsimi needs some of that goat jerky you sent me Uncle.

And Yvsa, if hunkies call sausage kolbase, and polacks call it kielbasa, there's got to be polack, and german, and austrian, and czech, and romanian versions of toltott kaposzta ( stuffed cabbage ). Even in my family the four sisters made it differently. East coast used dill, west coast used tomato sauce.

Mine own humble recipe surpasses them all, if I could just find it, but it's barely possible it could be improved. Highly unlikely as that is, I'm open to suggestions.

Cabbage sauted in bacon fat and tossed with wide egg noodles is another hungarian soul food. Time I passed on to the world my recipe for drunkard's soup, ( aka hangover soup or sauerkraut soup ) though. One of these days, when the food philistines like Tsimi have been purged.

Rusty and myself can't help it 'cause we grew up poor and deprived of all the Supposedly Good Food? you had as a youngster, but then we are also Not Spoiled and learned what we could eat and what was Really Good and what was good for us.:)
If we had of been born with a similar silver spoon in our mouths we would probably claim "Research" instead of HIKV as well. I am beginning to believe that you just don't know any better and of course ain't gonna listen to poor deprived people like me and Rusty, Blues and Vince!!!!:)

I am beginning to believe you and Vince need to go to another Gunting Seminar so he can work you over some more and Do It Properly this time!!!!:D
But then I suppose you hadn't shown your true colors yet when the last one took place.:D

Hey, Yvsa, a bolt of lightning just struck and the light bulb behind my eyes came on. Maybe Chiro75 could get Tsimi straightened out! Worth a shot at least, and then once his body is straightened out DocPat can exorcise the demons from the poor guy's mind. HOLD ON THERE - AN EXORCISM? - IT COULD WORK!!!
 
Unless, of course, I've gotten confused again and what I really am thinking that Tsimi needs is a bris?

Rusty, I figured all that goat jerky would be gone by now. Great stuff, ain't it? I know they mean well but some of my village pals send me stuff that I wish they would just keep in Nepal. And I think the bear jerky is worse than the goat. Shall I send you a sample, Rusty?

Uncle, I'm afraid use of bear jerky might take me over the line where the difference between right and wrong becomes blurred and I'd be tempted to use it in what was not "a good way".

When you offered it I immediately thought of fashioning it into blowgun darts or of powdering it to mix with bone dust. Naturally I recoiled as soon as I thought of such things, but further thoughts such as those could require a ceremony ( or several ) to cure.

Right Yvsa?

Barb does the cooking and you don't want to go there with her. I mean after all you may find yourself in Catoosa someday and might like a really good homecooked meal fit for a King.:D
And Barb learned too make all the good ndn food's before I got stove up to badly to cook them anymore. I Absolutely Have the Best of Both Worlds!!!!!!!
And it's getting better all the time especially since Barb has started watching the FoodTV Channel, now she's starting to "kick" almost everything "up a notch.":D
I know I won't get out of the experience alive, but what a way to go!!!!:)
 
I even get some coyote jerky from time to time -- believe it or not! The Nepalis swear it is a cure for arthritis.

And, Jim, I'll send you some coyote jerky along with your next research khukuri.
 
No, it will speed things up. After you eat it your arthritis will be cured and you can swing faster.
