I bought a Kershaw Trooper off EBay two days ago. I checked the guys record out, he's done over 8000 transactions and he's only had 12 complaints. Literally withing the minute of buying the knife I sent him the money via paypal and an e-mail telling him about it. Today, however, I noticed that he put the exact same knife I bought up for auction again. I know I didn't just not meet the reserve, and I know this for two reasons: One, there was no reserve. Two, I used "buy it now" and overrided the auction entirely. I also know he didn't just change his mind about letting it go for the buy it now price (which would be cheap and probably against the rules), because the knife is up for the exact same price again. He could have more than one Trooper, but why not auction them all at once? I've sent him three e-mails and he hasn't responded, but I'm not convinced he's a cheat yet, I'll give him a few days to get back to me.

What do you guys think?

I wouldn't worry he probably has 1000 of the knives to sell and he always uses the same picture and same description for ever auction.

And someone that busy won't be able to respond quickly.

Yeah, I know, there are reasonable explanations and I don't want to jump to conclusions but...

That knife is so sexy...

I worry...

Hey Bro, I went through the same thing, sort of. I purchased an NFR Jacket that I had to bid on instead of buy it now. As it turned out I did win the jacket but the seller had a whole stock pile of them and yes, this person put them on one at a time. I even received a note with the jacket to let me know that if I had any friends that wanted one the seller would let them go for what I paid for mine at auction.

As an old Ebay junkie, will give ya a tip here. The reason you put them on one or two at a time is so that the price goes higher. If you flooded them all at the same time, only half of them, if that will sell, and they'll sell for the minimum bid. Selling one at a time they go for more. THis has changed a little since the advent of Buy it Now, but is still true. You make higher profits by nto flooding your "market", ie Ebay.

He sent me an e-mail today saying the order went fine blah blah it'll ship soon. So now I'm just waiting for it to arrive... I hate waiting for a knife, but I love getting them.
