A sad/infuriating day of loss

I can relate. I lost my CS Scimitar a couple years ago. I looked everywhere. Several days later I found it in a pair of sweatpants that were laying on the floor in my closet. To this day I do not remember putting those sweatpants on. Spooky huh? Don't get too upset. Just take it easy and hopefully that beauty will appear. Good luck and let us know if you find it.

Chairs and couches are voracious predators but it takes them a really long time to digest, I have found many lost items in the creases!

I can understand that.

The worst part is you can't say now I can upgrade, no upgrade for that IMHO just replacement.

Ain't it the truth.

Sorry to hear that, if you plan to replace it, use code "ilostmyknife" for 20% off today.

See, this is why I keep buying from Cold Steel. That's the sort of customer consideration you just can't beat. I just wish I saw the message in time, as I already acquired a replacement.

Always sux when u lose it but awesome when you find it a few months later. Atleast without kids u don’t have to worry about the safety aspect of it. Also it’s in the house somewhere, better than in the woods, pond, street, etc. Stay optimistic my friend.

I'm trying to.

Nice one from @Cold Steel Knives !

So here's the thing and this is why folks find eyewitnesses highly unreliable. If you are sure it was in your pocket and you're sure you checked everywhere you went then it wasn't in your pocket in the morning. What your brain is doing is filling in the blanks with persistent images from your memory but not from the day in question. It's a rerun.

You'll have to rewind further.

That's an explanation I can easily believe. I've experienced that many times, because your mind always makes you think you saw something you're looking for, regardless of where you're looking.

But in this case it was in my pocket as it fell down in the pocket, and I had to physically re-clip it to the material and pull the lanyard back out.

did you do laundry ? check the laundry basket ? if you went in and out of your car check between the seats console and sills.

Yeah, that's spooky.

There's way too many gremlins running around.

This morning I had my XL Voyager in my front pocket when I woke up. By 8 AM it was missing.

I can't figure out how it went missing. Nor can I figure out where it went missing, as I haven't gone anywhere today that it could fall off at, without simultaneously being found. I've retraced everywhere I've been today, my family has assisted in the search, and it's nowhere to be found. If it were just the knife itself that went missing, it not being found could be understood, but it had a bright neon green lanyard on it, meaning it should be easy to find since it would stick out like a sore thumb.

Now I have to buy a new one.
Really unfortunate. The XL Voyager is probably Cold Steel’s most practical big folder. 5.5” blade that somehow handles like a smaller knife.

Get a new one before they switch ‘em to 4034 steel.

The gremlins are working overtime on tormenting me.

The missing Voyager was finally found, at the bottom of the outside garbage can. How it got there, I honestly don't know. But it's back and no worse for wear. Cleaned up, sanitized, strung with a new aquatica lanyard, and the pocket clip re-bent to give it some more tension.

Good for you, and I am not even going to ask what you were doing in the bottom of an outside trash can.

Haha, I've been following this thread and I knew the knife would be found eventually! The only time I've ever permanently lost a knife was when a Case peanut fell into the opening for the parking brake in my car. It was a yellow delrin with carbon steel that I loved so I tore everything apart trying to find it, lol.

I haven t had to bend one of mt Cold Steel clips for more tension yet!!

between the grip texture and super tight clips im amazed y'all want it tighter and even lost it.

op so your lanyard caught on something an got pulled out maybe?

regardless glad ya found it.

I'm glad you got your knife back - but without pictures, it never happened; that's in keeping with the time honored, if I didn't get it certified - I didn't get it.

How the hell did it fall out of your pocket, and why was it in the bottom of the trash can?

Edit: Am glad you found it!!!
