A Saturday Hike With The Oldest

Nice stuff Mist. Good to see them polywogs kicking around. I'm rather surprised at the developmental stage they've attained with legs and all. They are too big and wrong colour for toads but look too small to be leapard frogs and their development too quick. Curious about what they are, or do you have a macro on those shots?

Thanks Ken. The sun was low and the water was a little murky...and I was busy talking with my daughter lol, those are the best shots I got. The more I look the more I think those larger ones are salamander larvae and that the frog tadpoles either got lost in the editing or only show up as black dots...

What a great trip out.

Great gift!
Look forward to hearing some more on the Tops/Turley tin.
That snake sure went a weird way! Run over??
WOW! That frog spawn/taddies have really held up well. Nice to see so many hatching.
Good skills from your daughter too. Despite the belt, you've obviously taught her pretty well I'd say.
(I still struggle with how much pressure to use on these softer Exotac rods)
Oh, and I'm ravenous already....lunch sounded great!!

Thanks again for taking us along with you.

Looks like a nice day up on the misty mountain. Enjoyed your pictures.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed them, it was a nice day out.

Thanks Scruff, yeah she likes the knife. The snake was puzzling, from the impression made it had been a while but it was still flexible and there were no other tracks around it or over it. That was her first experience with a nano, it took her a bit to get the hang of it but I was proud of her. I've learned to time some lessons till there is some sort of "need" to get the knowledge, and lunch wasn't bad at all :)
