A screen shot of the knives used in the new movie "Drive"

Sorry if I'm drudging up a thread that's long been dead, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a box like that one.

Hello Guys, my name is Antonio (Tony), I'm Brazilian and I'm watch collector.

Recently, I started paying more attention to my knives and made my box of blades in the style of film Drive. The box is a common jewelry box, non-wood, leather coated, black.

I intend to replace two knives to be even more similar. Here in Brazil it's very difficult (quite impossible) to find a lever lock of wavy blade (Kris style).

I hope you enjoy.

English is not my first language, sorry. :D

Looks like a colorful collection, sir.

Listen, I have a question. It looks to me like the leftmost knife in the case, in the movie Drive, is damaged in some way. Like part of the handle material broke off. Does anyone else see this, or is it just a design feature that makes it seem that way?

And what is the translucent handle material of that knife?

Cheers!

Looks like a silver bolster and a reflection from a window or light and the material mammoth ivory or bone stabilized with a blue resin or stained blue after machining, hard to tell without a better close-up

I have found some Hollywood Firearm wikis that are pretty comprehensive online. I wish there was a good Hollywood Blades wiki so that we could get behind the scenes information on these knives.

This is the part of the knife that looks strange to me:

Hello !

That's right, since I'm a beginner I'm investing more in variety than quality as you can see. The razor was manufactured in Pakistan, the balisong is Chinese and the other three blades are made in Brazil. I mean, I've always liked pocket knives since I was a kid, but only recently came to be interested in collecting knives as a hobby, because I know how hard it is and beautiful at the same time the whole process of its manufacture. And, believe me, was watching the movie Drive that I rediscovered my old pocket knives, started to polish their blades, sharpen them, bought a set of sharpening stones, a "sharpening stick" ("chaira", in portuguese), bought new switchblades and after I found BladeForums, and we're there. I gotta learn more and more.

I changed two pieces so they'd look more alike in relation to the film. See the picture below.

Soon, I'm going to buy my first Damascus, probably an American folding knife.

Even in Brazil it's possible to find some very competent knife's manufacturers, and as an example, you might click on the following link where you can see some winning knives from a recent local exhibition.

Regarding your question about the leftmost knife in original box, in my opinion there seems to be a reflex window light incidence. It's probably very expensive ivory.

Regards, Tony :)
