Here are a couple of things I now have available:
First... A seax in an Anglo-Saxon style (but often found in Viking grave sites) forged from 19th century bridge wrought iron (locally salvaged) laminated to 1075 tool steel. The handle is ancient fossilized mammoth leg bone and old growth white oak salvaged from the bottom of lake Superior.. stained dark from the anaerobic conditions in the mud. The total length is 11 inches and the blade is 5 inches. I'm asking $325 for this knife shipped CONUS. Please inquire for international quote. Paypal to scott@bigrockforge.com
Here is a little knife that I'm calling a 'Bird and Trout' due to the short, narrow and thin blade. It's not exactly true to the form... but close enough. The blade is stock removed from the very tough 15n20 bandsaw blade steel and is 0.095 in. thick. The blade length is 3 1/4 in. and the overall length is 7 3/4". The handle is cast bronze and curly maple.
I'm asking $175 and comes with sheath.
