A Short Bushfinger Slideshow plus Video

You have made an excellent case for this knife in your reviews and this video. I have no choice but to find a way to get my hands on one.

Thanks, glad you liked the post, last I heard he had a several more in the works.

Great video tease mistwalker. I gotta get my hands on one of these Bushfingers. At first I thought I wanted one just like yours but as scarce as they are, I am thinking anything with a good looking wood would do.

I was not even much of a fixed blade fan other than Khuks and machetes until I found these knives. Now I have 1 Helle, 3 Mora's and 2 Blind Horse Knives. Andy you're killing my wallet here. Let's see some of those BF's. :D

Thanks bro, there should be more of them ready soon.

After Sunday out with my oldest daughter I am wanting to get a Hiking Buddy done like my Bushfinger for her. She did well with the Bushfinger but I think the Hiking Buddy will fit her hand better and the slightly shorter blade would be easier for her to handle. She did make me proud though.

Yeah I'm thinking I might need one of those too. Hell, I'll take whichever one rears its head 1st at this point.

She did great using the Bushfinger, I just think, since she is pretty much through growing, looking at it in her hand that the HB would be a better knife for her. I was pretty sure it would be when I first looked at it.

She handles that like an old pro. I think the HB would be great for her!!

Thanks, I've been working on teacher her fire craft for some years now, she's getting pretty good at it.

I think the HB should fit her perfectly.

Thanks for sharing the video Brian  Is it strange I found it strangely relaxing....:D Man, I really need to pick up a Bushfinger after I get my Hunter.

 for passing the skills onto your daughter as well.

Thanks Russell, what's more relaxing that making a fire in the woods :)

Well, I do want her to be able to look after herself. I won't always be there and most boys she knows probably couldn't start a fire in the rain with a lighter and a bottle of gas lol.

Good stuff Mist

I got to handle the BF on Friday and it will definitely be my next purchase.

Thanks for the pics and vid.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the post. The BF is a really sweet knife, I'm glad it was my first Fiddleback.

How does the Bushfinger handle slicing thin stuff, particularly salami and tomato?

TIA
Craig

Brian,

You've had your Bushfinger for about what, 4 months now? Any new thoughts? What in particular do you like most about it?

That I can whittle with it for hours and not even notice :)

Nice :) What specific features of the design do you think accounts for that comfort in extended use? Nowadays, I'm paying more attention to WHY a knife with a certain design or feature feels good in hand; it's good to hear the thoughts of others.
