The other day when I mentioned doing a video with my 12 inch machete BBQ Boy said he'd love to see a video. Well...I haven't had time to do anything in the way of an in depth video with it but here is a short demonstration video. Man I love this machete :)

Now I think I'm gonna go do up a short Bushfinger video :D

Thanks Mist. That gave me a better idea of scale and usage. I was about to pull the trigger on a ESEE Junglas but now I need to rethink that.
OK get busy on the Bushfinger video!!!

Badass vid, Mist. I like that 'chete, but I still want a 14" instead of a 12". I may end up with a 12" though, you never know. Cool vid. Your voice reminds me of someone, but I can't think of who right now. I remember later when I'm cookin' dinner or sumthin'. Thanks for the vid.

Son of a... Do I need one? No. Am I getting one after that? Yes. That will finally retire my Gransfors SFA probably. I too had been thinking of a Junglas but have now given that up.

Moose, is it John Goodman? :)

Great video mistwalker! Guess I should add one of these to my want list. That damn thing really bites into wood deep. Awesome!!

Thanks man, glad you liked it. This machete killed my plans for a Junglas too. My earlier statement was somewhat prophetic. I did do a short video on the Bushfinger. It would have been longer but I had to edit out the string of words that followed me getting a face full of fat wood and damp sycamore fumes and burning my eyes...

I wanted the 12 over the others because of the slightly thicker blade and the perfect length for my uses. The other three models are standard machete thickness, and I don't live in the deep south anymore. If I still lived near the glades I might have gotten the 18" myself.

Great video. I'm waiting for the next shipment to get in.

Thanks, they should be in soon.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the post. I have always preferred a large knife to an axe in my part of the world, but this thing is just amazing to me. I love the ergos and it functions VERY well.

Great video. That clinched it for me. I want a 12".

Thanks man. I was pretty sure I wanted a 12" when Andy first posted about them, but seeing them at Blade just sealed it for me.

Thanks bro, yes it does really bite. Makes quick work of all my chopping chores.

Thicker? I thought they were all the same. If the 12 is thicker, I'm going that route then, I like thicker blades, and that seems to be a good length. Once again, Mist, you have changed my Fiddleback mind in regards to my future purchases. A thank you is in order.

Thank you.

I can't wait for those to start rolling out. I need 4 of the twelves, in addition to a complete set of all four sizes.

Thanks for posting the video, Mist! Nice to see it in action!

Well, where is it? You can't say you made a vid and not share. You have to remember, as far as the Bushfinger is concerned, most of us live vicariously through you.

I haven't uploaded it yet...I got mad because I had to shorten it and went to sleep. I'll piost it here in a little bit and do another better one later.

Seen this after the bushie vid!
Good one as well. Not much fancy talk a la you know who and great skill!
I don't think anyone would mind if you kept them comin' :D

Thanks guys, I'm told I should say more than I do...and I suppose I should work on that and at least give some specs...but I'm used to still shots which don't record sound, more action-less words so to speak. :) I'll work on getting better at it

What a tool that thing is. I'm actually blown away by it. As soon as it hit paper, the knife came alive to me. Light, easy to carry, digable, safer than a double bit Nessmuk hatchet. Probably easier to carry too. I think it is the perfect Nessmuk trio tool. Adds digging abilities that the hatchet doesn't accomplish too. Can't wait to make myself one!

It is a really awesome tool! For me it was my grail machete. I really love this thing. It, my Bushfinger, and my SAK make a heck of a team in the bush.

Yeah...only because you let Dylan talk you out of the one you had lol. Of course I can not blame him at all. Great machete!!

The handle was too small on that one. I had the tang size increased on the production models (spine to edge). I want a bigger handle.
