A Short Sword

Up for your viewing is this short sword with a little medieval influence. It has a wasp shaped blade and steel cross guard, full tang and a shallow channel ground down the center of blade to help reduce weight.

SPECS:
Steel is 1/4 inch thick 5160 hardened to approximately 55Rc
Blade Length 16.6 inches with channel hand ground down the center and blued.
Blade Width: 2 inches
Overall Length: 23.5 inches
Guard: 7.5 inches wide blued 1018 carbon steel.
Handle: Walnut burl was selected for this sword because it was something available to the period and location and looks very nice.
Scabbard: 8/9 ounce leather

Hello Guys and thanks for the comments. The weight of the sword is 2.4 pounds as measured on the bathroom scales and the balance point can bee seen the photo below (my thumb does not touch the guard it only looks like that).

Hello benchwarmer380, thanks. I've made a large range of knives for a long time now but for the longest time mostly just posted the paracord wrapped EDC on the forums. I realized a few months ago that all I'm known for around here are those EDCs and decided to post up my other work hoping to break that stigma.
