A shortened life...... Prayers and smoke needed.

Smoke's on its way.

This has been a hard week and it doesn't look like easing up any time soon. We're going to need a lot of smoke.:(

Love and sympathy from me and mine to you and yours, Yvsa.

Paul

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Yvsa. After the events of this past week, I wish everyone could have had some peace, but things don't always happen that way. I hope very much that you and your family will get through this as well as you all can.

Yvsa: I'm sorry to hear about your family's loss. It's really awful to get news like this anytime, but I'm certain that recent events serve to magnify the impact. My thoughts and prayers go out for you, and may God give you the grace to be strong for everyone, as I'm sure they look to you for support and answers.

The Smoke and Prayers are working as they always do when made by our motley group!!!!
Courtney is going to be alright and is going to have a councilor to help her be better able to cope with life as it is instead of what we wish it too be.
And I imagine the counciling will go on for awhile though. I can't imagine the mental agony Courtney must be going through with all the blame she's laying on herself and it's just going to take some time for her to come to full grips with it.
Courtney is still hurting pretty bad physically right now, but with the continued Smoke and Prayers may be able to be released in a couple of more days!!!!

The other Really, Really, Great News is that the surgeons were able to get full circulation restored to all of Stephanie's leg which is wonderful, Wonderful News!!!!
And as things stand right now it looks like she will be able to keep her leg!!!!
Stephanie is going to need a lot of therapy and some skin grafts, maybe extensive ones over time, and it's going to be pretty rough for her, but she will still be able to walk and run with her own limbs instead of an artificial one!!!!
That's the Great News and the second Great News is it will mean one less thing that Courtney will have to live with.

From some of the things that were said to Robert, as well as some things that weren't, he has been able to piece together enough to know that Nikki felt no pain when she walked West.
Things happened so quickly that there wasn't time for Nikki to have been in pain.
And in spite of the pain in loseing one of your kids it does help, a little, to know that they didn't suffer.
Nothing but time will heal the rest of the agony to where it can be lived with................

Yvsa,

I am sorry to hear about the loss. My condolences to you and the family. I wish Courtney and Stephanie a quick and complete recovery.
