Headed out to drop kids at gymnastics and pick up some sewing supplies at Jo-Ann's (yes, I sew - it's a basic life skill AFAIC; especially when you need buttons back on your favorite pants and your wife doesn't possess even a modicum of that sort of skill) but will be available after that...

Kids are a lot harder to break than we think. Otherwise, many of us wouldn't be here today....

And there is nothing wrong with home treatment if done judiciously... My wife's dad is a retired Doctor (age 93), who spent a year as the Doctor at Alcatraz while the "Bird Man" was there. He also spent time aboard ship as a Navy Doctor and in the Army Reserve as a Doctor at the tail end of the Korean War. She had a serious nose bleed a couple of times as a child, and the bleeding didn't want to stop. So he took a piece of raw bacon, rolled it into a cylinder, and shoved it up her nostril. The direct pressure and salt helped to stop the bleeding quite nicely. I suppose the use of cured meat also tends to discourage bacterial growth. One time she actually sat at the dinner table eating with the family with bacon up her nose.
 
Thats what happens when you dont sleep. You have waaaaaaaay too much time on your hands....
 
Having my first cup of Dazbog Organic KGBlend (it's Russian) that my Denver in-laws gave us. It's whole beans, so I ground it fresh and brewed it in the Keurig....delicious!
