I can't take credit for this, I found it on another forum and thought I'd share here. I gave it a try and it works great. :thumbup: It takes a few hard shakes upside down to make the knife come loose.
Take a small piece of inner tube (MTB) and pull it up the sheath so that it's past the opening. I used around 2.5 inches worth. Once it's past the opening, double over the top 1/3 or so.
That's it. When you insert the knife in the sheath the rubber goes inside as well and holds the knife tight. You have to push harder than normal to get it to seat all the way in and once in it's very solid. It'd probably be wise to carry along a spare piece or two in case you accidentally cut the one on the sheath.
