A simple poll - how many stiches per inch?

On your normal sheaths - how many stitches per inch do you sew your outside (edge of the sheath) stitches?

I normally use 6 per inch.

I usually use 6 spi for most stuff, but with larger stuff like bowie knife sheaths, gun holsters, etc. I've recently started using 5, and it looks pretty good.

7 for around inlays and lining work
5 for big bowies. (and 6 for inlays and such on these)

Im not sure how stitches per inch are counted. I have six holes per inch but only five of what I'd call stitches.

You got it...it takes 6 holes to make 5 stitches:thumbup:

I think I make 6 holes, attempt 5 stitches - and only have 4 of what I would call a 'stitch'.

I wondered... Looks awfully nice that way but there's no way I'm going to do 12/inch by hand...

7 holes - outside edges - (6 stitches)
6 holes - heavy duty sheaths - (5 stitches)
8-9 holes - inside work. (inlay, decoration, etc.)
