Now, that's a good story Sunnyd. Sounds just like my younger days, growing up in North Florida.:D

Yup, Florida was one heck of fine place to have grown up in the 1970's-80's.. Lots of fishing and hunting all abound for us young bucks back then.. Thanks very kindly Don for your comments.

Now that we've all been gabbing about eating armadillo, I thought I'd mention that I seem to remember reading somewhere that humans and armadillos are the only animals that can carry leprosy. :eek:

Good grief! I just spent a couple of minutes on Google to see if I remembered right. What I read there says that one in six armadillos in the coastal areas of Texas and Louisiana carry leprosy, but the risk of infection to humans is small it said. I don't think I'll be eating armadillo anytime soon.
