A slipjoint folder?

The specific reason for having a locking folder is to protect your digits from an accidental closure. It's the same reason they invented strait knives.

I think you need to get your facts straight.

Straight knives were invented because people needed knives.


Folding knives were invented because people needed portable knives.


Locking folding knives are there because people needed portable knives that they feel are safer in finger protection.


Personally....I don't mind slipjoints.
 
Having had a look over my folders, IMO a slip joint Mnandi would be just the ticket. The already
studless blade and the overall size and shape would make for a very nice little slippie. :):thumbup:
 
Not for me. I went the Sodbuster route awhile ago and while the Soddie is a great time proven design, I'll take the upgraded modern folder designs any day. ;)
