a snoopy question of busse warranty

I don't care if anyone wants to break their knife, but to do so intentionally and then ask for a replacement is dishonorable. Anyone who wants to break their stuff should just write it off.

Most destructive tests I've seen were for entertainment purposes not for any real test. If you want to break it then break it but don't ask Jerry to fix it after.

Exactly.

Well, the ASH-1 CG might take that bullet, what ever is holding it probably wouldn't.

Intentionally breaking the blade is just that, you modified the blade basically. And Jerry doesn't cover mods. He might sharpen the pieces for you and re tip/recoat them but, he doesn't have to glue the knife back together for ya. Its like if you took off the choil of boss street, then used it and sent it back on warranty, the knife will be touched up but they will not put a new choil for you.

I think it's safe to assume that it will be somewhere just under the ffbm. If you want to re-create the test that was already done to the ffbm, it's your right as the blade owner. I'm pretty sure that jerry would replace it (as long as you break it as done in the video: without modifying the blade geometry extensively or hitting it with a torch), but I'm not sure I'd be willing to send it back myself.

it is a kind of intentional destruction , is it a Warranty Violation?

Think about that one a bit.
Would you really expect any company to replace a product if damaged intentionaly? I hope you or your friend wouldn't.

Agreed.

dingy, even Noss4 knows that his destruction tested Busse's will not be covered or replaced under warranty. Really, why would your friend want to test a Busse to destruction? It's been done, and you really have to work at it. Tell your friend to enjoy the knife, not destroy the knife. :D

I bet you it wouldn't hold up to a .50 bmg API round either at 40 yards. What would that prove?

I gotta call this one! Put a FFBM edge first and shoot it, I bet it lives through it:cool: Like the old Sog picture, just a little overboard:D

thank you all for the kind words to me and my friend.

his is not a busse fan, when he first time use the blade in the wild , found that few some chipings on the blade , so he wanta test it with his own way .
that all.

i will told him what you said to me !
cool, thanks

I think if it was a regular ball round the FFBM would be fine, it would likely split the bullet if it was shot on the edge.

The AP rounds will go through just about anything. ;)

If it chipped in normal use, something is definitely wrong. THAT is absolutely covered by warranty.
