A soddie of a different color

Took a couple pics while i was at the range...I swear this thing changes color in outdoor light...more blues and purples. Was overcast but pretty bright out.

I like that look of the burl. The red is different but very good looking. Not a bad looking M1 carbine either!
 
Really nice work. I have an Imperial barlow with delrin handles that I'd like to have tricked out with slabs of some natural material - ram's horn would be nice.
 
Replacing scales is one of the least expensive way to make a knife that is "your's". It can take a standard production knife from run of the mill to outstanding for much less than a full custom. Don't get me wrong...I treasure my customs but this soddie was mine for 30 years...now it is uniquely mine.
