Once again I am blessed with another wonderful gift. Jack Black Jack Black generously sent a little care package!! Inside was a nice micarta lambsfoot, an awesome old Rodgers spey, energy chocolate bites, and a nice survival bandana. Thank you so much, Jack. You are real good friend an I will cherish these gifts. The chocolate will come in handy on night shift 😁.

I'm glad my package made it to you this time Paul  I'd originally sent Paul a much larger box, but it contained an item that the Royal Mail, (a private company these days), took a dislike to. The item in question was a presentation-boxed brass lighter in the shape of a round of ammunition, which I had listed on the customs form. Rather unfortunate, but after holding onto the parcel for 3 weeks, they examined it, determined that the item was a harmless lighter...And then, instead of sending the delayed parcel on its way to Paul, they returned the whole thing to me! The enclosed note explained that the parcel contained an item, which had the APPEARENCE of a prohibited item! 😖 Paul, I still have the box on my kitchen table, and hopefully, I will eventually get most of the contents to you buddy, even if I have to send them a few items at a time  It does keep growing though! :D ;) Thanks for the kind words everyone, Paul is a great friend, and a very generous one :)

I know this isn't the first time I've been told this, but every time I hear it I find it utterly gobsmacking.

I mean, the example of the Royal Mail was the reason that the US has had a postal service since the start of the Revolution, during the Articles of Confederation era, and then is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the Constitution. A publicly owned mail service as a public good seems like a fundamental underpinning of a functioning society to me, but I'll get off my soap box before I get too political.

This country is getting worse for petty nonsense Jack.

Paul - this is great reading! Jack is a bit of a Super Hero with his thoughtfulness as well as his generosity, and as other have said - you too my friend are a very generous guy - so this comes as no surprise!
Have a great day, mine started out reading this - so already I am on the up- Thank you both for being the people you are! :)

Yeah, some years back, they wasted millions changing the name to something in Italian! It proved so unpopular, they then changed it back! 😖

Thank you Duncan, I'm touched :) Looking forward to seeing you later in the year :)
Thanks for all the compliments. Jack is a great guy and a real friend. To receive any knife from his collection means the world to me.
Thanks Paul, it's great to have you as a friend :)
