A Subclaw Observation

I recently snagged a SubClaw from CLB, and it is very sweet. The point on it is not dropped as much as I had thought from pictures - it is located much like where the Wharncom is - and it just grabs and rips through things like nothing - it's become my new go-to knife for breaking down boxes, cutting those hard plastic wrap-tape and, once cleaned, for tactically peeling oranges ;).

It works pretty well in FGEU (forward, edge up) if you angle and lock your wrist. Sliced some of my carpet dummies pretty well - albeit dulling the blade somewhat from all the dirt/rocks on them. Been experimenting with using sandpaper to sharpen - so not too much luck getting it shaving as yet.

Aloha senoBDEC,

I thought only I could manage that grip?:p

Glad you are having fun with the SubClaw. It is my go-to IWB...;)

God bless and take care!

On another forum Chad and I discussed using one of those small round or triangular diamond hones or ceramic hones. Most likely a ceramic hone would work most of the time. Chad has another way he may post here too
