The Brute is a recurvied edge big chopper. I am talking about a straight edge spearpoint about 7 inches long.

King Grinch,
I'm just curious, we just introduced the COMBAT/UTILITY 7....a 7" clipped pt blade, what would a 7" spear point blade get you that this C/U7 doesn't? I guess the spear point would have a slightly stronger tip, but it would give up "ease of penetration". We actually drew up the C/U7 with both clipped pt. and spear pt. blades, and the folks we had helping us with this design[all experienced users, mostly military] picked the current design, with the clipped pt. They cited the reduced wieght and penetration qualities of the clipped pt. as their reasons.
