A surprise in the mail - Large Regular with Jimping on handle

I purchased a used large regular, knowing it wouldn't be mint, but didn't know it was altered. I kept wondering why does the spine feel different?
Then I realized none of my other Sebbies have the jimping....must have been a pimp job by someone.
I'll keep it a while then possibly sell it, but here it is:

not the worst pimp job but thats why i always ask for pics. Still looks cool though.
 
Looks like the work is clean, I know a forum member here did one like it, if not that very one. :)
 
Yea, I'm pretty sure I have seen that knife before too. It's not something I would do but it doesn't look too bad.
 
Looks like nice work, but I have to admit, I'd be a little peeved. You'd think that would be something that would be mentioned....
 
If that detail wasn't mentioned in the description of the item then that's technically a breach of forum rules (assuming it was purchased either here or on the USN). I'd be more than a little peeved purely due to the fact such work voids the warranty. It may not look bad, but you're out of luck when it comes servicing that thing now.

lol - I don't know what that is, but it is not jimping :confused:
Why would someone ruin such a beautiful knife
