A surprising cheapo

the knife you posted is not chinese style , just a japaness hunting knife.

I didn't say it was chinese style. I said it was a chinese knife after japanese style.

You see, the design may be japanese, but it's made in china.

Oh, and yeah. It's still available on e-bay. You have to search for it a little though.
 
wooden sheaths are not just old school, they're ancient school...i made one for one of my fixed (not a cheapo either)...clunky, yes; but i kind of like using it...i will make a few more if i can find some interesting scrap pieces...

I have one of these, the 5in blade version, think i even purchased mine from the same ebay dealer. All I have to say is that I love this knife, its small and compact but the handle and heavy blade make its good enough to do heavy chopping. The blade itself was well made (though a bit think in terms of grind) and was able to go through a nail(not purposefully) without chipping or deforming too much.

My only complaints are the buckle on the sheath and the false edge, which has cut me three times as much as the real edge has
