A Swedged CQC-8.....

I heard on another forum that as of late 2008, the Emerson CQC-8's started having the swedge on them.....is this true? I just ordered a CQC-8 BT, and honestly, I don't like the look of the swedge.....but think its something I will warm up to if I DO get a swedged one.....any info? Thanks guys!

The early non waved 8s have a swedged blade, the waved ones dont have it.

I have a waved "2008" dated satin CQC-8 - it has the swedge.

I think it looks good.

Thats good then, they look much better with the swedge IMO.

I have two 8s and the waved one has no swedge but its pre 08.

a swedge is a bevel ground on the spine of the blade, normally left unsharpened.
