Wow great trip report and photos. Thanks for posting this. The views simply look stunning.

decided that Bloody Hell Pass would be an easier route than going through the Alpine Lakes area and pass.

The silly part is that Bloody Hell pass does actually end up being easier, if a bit longer and more roundabout. We talked to a guy who had gone through Alpine Lakes and had to bivy there because it was such slow going!
