I thought I wasn't going to like it (not a big fan of wood scales), but you did a fantastic job and it looks great. I like the satin/non-glossy finish on it too.

Looks amazing! (except for those pocket clip screws!) Try calling Spyderco directly and ask them to send you the longer pocket screws to help w/ the thicking handle material. If those are still not long enough try a local machine shop.
