A Thinner Karda

Spiral-
Karda harder than khuk? I didn't know. It makes sense...hardest small blade keeping its edge in the bush, while the larger is not quite as hard and taking a pounding.

Whoa. Like what? Rockwell at 62?

Ahhh my slip up munk, sorry, bit orf early altzhiemers kicking in, I should have said Chakma is best harder than kukri edge,

Thats what makes them work.

62 rockwell would make dynamite chakma.

I agree!!

WTB:

1. Thinner and harder karda for delicate, scary sharp applications.
2. Harder Chakma would very welcome.
3. Longer handles (3 inches?) would greatly increase the leverage, usability and the safety of these handy little tools.

I love how these tools are intedgrated in the whole kukri package. Just a few small improvements would make them even more usefull for everyone. :D

Wow, I was just going to make a similar request, except specifically for the kumar karda. As is, the KK is a very sturdy little knife, but a thinner blade, or perhaps a more scandi-like grind would vastly improve its overall usefulness. BUT, it'd have to have the nicely carved horn handle like my first one. :D

Thinner Kardas, And with longer handles
Chakma stays thick, but should be hard.
Gets my vote!
Gets my vote as well
I guess a full flat grind Karda is better

Anyhow .. it reminds me of the older CBKC Model .. it has 4" OAL both Karda and Chakma .. 2" Blade length and 2" Handle .. it makes me chuckle every times I take out those 2 minute thingis :D

I had Dan Koster convex my karda, works great. I think a HI Karda with a max thickness of 5/32" would be awesome, 1/8" would be better yet.
