Since the new Recon 1 with the Tri-Ad lock came out, they've been offered in two models, a clip point and a tanto.
I've photoshopped a tanto into a drop point with a spanto-like blade, and would love it if Cold Steel produced this one as well.

Now that would be awesome! I love it. Maybe cold steel should pay you for that design. :D

FYI, under the teflon coating the blades are stone washed ;)

Nice but I would still like a FFG with no taper.

Excellent blade design!
I always wanted a Recon 1 (gen 1) spear point blade but they only offered in serrated edge (I only buy plain edges).
If they choose to produce your design (in plain edge) I will buy it!

Satin or stonewashed, and it would be even cooler

+2
Also, keep the grind, more or less, intact, so the knife will have a decently strong tip... I know it'll suffer a little in the car stabbing department, but it should perform better in other ways.

very functional looking. definitely better than their other blade shapes

Very nice! I'd definitely pick one up if Cold Steel were to make something like that.

Absolutely not, anyone that knows anything about knives
knows that only Spyderco and Kershaw makes knives that
are worth owning....

Put some different blade steel in it and I would buy one. M4 would work good. My experiences with AUS8 are that I won't pay much more than 20 bucks to buy it.
