A Thomas Turner (of Sheffield) Penknife

Thanks for posting this nice penknife. It´s a beauty - I really like the look of that handle. I´ve never heard of Thomas Turner before, but I must have missed something, for sure.

Beautiful piece, my friend :)

Nice one Jack .
Now that I think of it, those kind of knives are the traditional gent knives this side of the big pond.
I remeber that in my youth I saw some of the older guys carry one of those slim slippies if they weren't carrying a Herder Sodbuster of some kind.
Don't know of Great Brittain, but I saw them used over here regularly some 35 years ago.

Thanks a lot Andi :) You might know the name from this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...effield-s-Millenium-Galleries-(bad-pic-heavy) ;)

Thanks :) Much the same here, they were the most common pattern when I was a kid. Fellers would use them for just about everything from opening envelopes to peeling fruit and cleaning out their pipes :)

That knife would look great with a suit, what a looker. Nice find and happy holidays.

Thanks very much Greg. I don't wear a suit as often as I used to, but I still 'scrub up' now and again! :)
