This is the result of me spending too much time in the shower while thinking about knives. I know you've done it. Shut up.

There are many knives that have one or more aspects I like, but I don't like the knives as a whole. For example:

Spyderco Yojimbo - the square cutout on the compression lock is the worst! I always feel like I'm going to drop the darned things. However, that blade is PERFECT!

Spyderco Manix2 XL - Love the lock, love the ergonomics, hate how thin the blade is. Yes, I know it's for maximum cutting performance, but that doesn't change my mental image of it being fragile!

Solution: Combine the two! 3.85" Hollow-ground Wharncliffe blade, Caged Ball Bearing lock, and the handle of the Manix! I want that knife!

I'm curious to see what composite knives you guys come up with - bonus points for pictures! (No bonus points for me, clearly)

William Henry and Opinel. I want a classic looking knife with a razor thin ZDP-189 blade, one hand opening and a button lock.

I love my Spyderco Techno, but wish the handle and the blade were each about 1/2 inch longer. So I guess a breed between the Techno and Slysz Bowie...

I'll say this before someone else does - a Military with the compression lock, better shaped thumb ramp and full liners with tip up option of the Para2.

Oh boy, what I would give for a spyderco native 5 (g10) with a triad lock...

Yeah, you can pretty much take any lockback and slap a compression lock on it and improve it greatly, in my opinion... I wish my incoming Hap40 Endura had such a lock. Will I need the strength of the lock? Goodness, no. Do I like that it wears in perfectly and precludes blade play? YES. A THOUSAND TIMES YES.

Profile, ffg, warranty and construction of the ESEE 4.
Protruding square pomel and .25" spine thickness of
the Kabar BK2. Custom iwb kydex sheath.
Oh yeah....lol

Benchmade Mini Grip combined with a Kershaw Leek. The super slim, super sleek design of the Leek with the Axis Lock of the BM. Make it even better by using the Ritter M390 blade.

I'd love an insingo blade in a 0562 handle, made to CRK standards, that flips like an Andre Thorburn.

Cool thread Comeuppance!!

That Native 5 w/ compression lock is a dream!

I would love a PM2 with a ZT 0770CFM4 blade. Or a ZT 0562 with a random leek blade.

Hinderer 3" and 3.5" XM with a Triad Lock.

A Demko 4 Max in 52100 with Busse's HT schedule. I'll take that in 1/4" thick blade stock with a saber ground zero bevel, please. Thanks.

RAT 1 with G10 scales and D2 steel and a convex grind. I call it "The Woodchuck". (The two knives it's based on: RAT 1 + Becker BK24)

I'd like to see a PM2 mate with a D/A Lone Wolf Lobo making it a scale release auto. Pick your steel.

Spyderco junior handle.
Benchmade griptilian blade.

Increase size of the junior handle to fit the griptilian blade with the hole in it.
