"Character" I think is the best word to describe that knife. Very nice.

Found this for $2-3 last fall. I didn't need another project, but I knew, if I passed it up, I would live to regret it. Only half a blade but beautiful worm-groove jigged bone scales. What are the chances that I'll ever find the correct replacement blade??

. You have even held it for a little while . It is a Small Barlow that is even smaller than a GEC 14 . Made by SEO&S some time back . It has Integral Bolsters . The blade still has Snap .
Compared to a GEC 14 .
With his Big Brother that is also a Relic but is not in as good a condition . Not much Snap in the blade .
And the larger SEO&S with an old Russell that is not in very good shape .
Neither of them could be a User except in a pinch but they are some of the very first Barlows that I ever bought and I would never want to part with them but some day I will .
They are just part of the very few that I own that are older than I am , so that makes them a RELIC .

I love seeing these old relics, as well as using them. Here is the motley collection I keep at work to use as my beaters. I have become quite fond of them even though they have their issues.

If you can't find a replacement blade, you can always turn it into a classy box cutter.
Very tempting.This was obviously somebody's user for a long time. He got his moneys worth.
If anyone would like it (I think it would be better served carving something than as a knock around in my garage) please PM me and I'll put it in the mail.
It's nice to see these old relics getting their moment in the sun!!
