7 layers of 1095 high carbon steel with a small amount of copper for contrast`
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles creating a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with a forced black patina
Professionally stabilized curly maple handle
Brass and Micarta fixtures
Overall length: 7 3/4 inches
Blade: 3 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

That copper crackling across the dark steel reminds me of lightning against dark thunderheads a good ways off across north Texas plains. That's just plain beautiful, Gerry.
