Spring is returning to the rain forest here, the detritus of last year fades away to be replaced by new growth.

As the virginia creeper creeps back in...

So too does the poison ivy

Oh, and the knives for the day, a brace of Fiddlebacks that make a great team in the woods.

Fiddleback Camp Knife

and a Fiddleback Bushboot

.

outstanding pics mist. the clarity and detail are amazing. thanks.

P.S. love that camp knife.

Wonderful Thread Mistwalker! I feel like I can reach right into those photos and touch the plants or the FBF knives you've captured so well. On second thought, I'll pass on touching the ivy. ;)

Well done my friend! :)

Mist, great eye as always. I will own a Fiddleback one day, maybe after Blade.

Great pictures. Feeling a bit of camp knife envy here... Still quite a bit of snow here as well, but lousy skiing conditions:grumpy:

Always enjoy your threads Mist, especially the pictorials. You are a very good photographer and your cutlery entourage is second to none. I'm keeping my eyes open for a nice Fiddleback..........

Man, thanks for the pics. That pic of the Bushboot is my new background. That fly pic is really nice.

More great pictures, Mist.

I'm ready for spring, it's late this year. All this cold, wet weather is slowing things down on the farm.

Fantastic pics as usual bro. Spring.. odd enough, we got probably a half inch of snow last night in my yard. Did see some turkeys out there this morning on a scout of where to go turkey hunting when it opens though.

Thanks Mark! Yeah, I'm not allergic to it, or at least not severely...I can touch it when I photograph it with no ill affects, but I know a lot of people are so I figure detailed photos might help those that are to avoid it..

Most excellent.

Thanks H, glad you liked the post.

Thanks Murph. Yeah, you should stop in at his table while you're at Blade and check out his line up.

Thanks man. Yeah, I went through that a while myself before I finally got my own. No snow here, but cooled off a bit the last few days...must be blackberry winter.

Great pics!
That's a really impressive Mayapple patch!

Thanks you! Yep, that whole ridge is covered in patches like that, some even bigger ones.

Thanks for the compliments man! I'm glad you like them. There were some nice ones in yesterday's batch! Also there have been some nice ones show up in the exchange now and then for good prices too.

Awesome stuff as always. Nice freakin blades too.

Thanks brother, glad you enjoyed the post. Yeah, Andy makes some really nice blades!

Thanks Andy, glad you liked the pics! I've had a blast out wandering around with these two the last couple of weeks, they make a great team. Yep, all of the flying creatures are coming back, I was being checked out by hornets yesterday, but couldn't locate the nest for pics...it must be too high up or well hidden.

More great pictures, Mist.

Thanks man, and yeah it's been wet here lately too.

Thanks bro, glad you liked them. I think our snow is done for the year, and we didn't get much. Yeah, lots of turkey around up there. I should take the time to pop a couple and have them smoked...but really busy lately.

great pics as usual. makes me want to call in sick and hit the trails. thanks for sharing.

Cool pictures as always. Thanks for the post. Did you see any webworms in the trees? Seams like we have a lot here this year.

Just getting the chance to look through these pics. Nice work as always Mist. Gotta get me one of those Camp Knives.
